Description

Tonight I drove 45 miles to one of my favorite fishing spots. The body of water is called Indian Creek and it's within the confines of Alexander State Forest. There are two condemned, falling down wooden bridges at different locations on this site. I took an image from the top of each bridge. This site was very dark. There was absolutely no light pollution in any direction. I don't ever remember imaging with a sky as dark as I had tonight. The only problem I had was very heavy moisture. I had to wipe my lens off after every image I took. There were fish breaking the surface everywhere and I saw one alligator. It was dark as pitch and there was noise going on all around me. Twice the foxes and coyotes decided to cut loose. I've heard that more times than I can count but it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck when it happens unexpectedly. I really enjoyed being out imaging on those bridges tonight. There is a lot to be said for Milky Way imaging especially when you travel to a remote scenic location.
